The problem of marketing is one that has been on my mind a lot recently, and I really like the idea of the yard-signs for folks that are fans of your products. Seems like it would really help with word-of-mouth type marketing that works well on the small/local scale. Have you seen success from this method over this last year?
Ummmm. No, haha. Not at all off of those signs. It goes to what you were saying earlier on the chicken label post, it is about education. Hosting farm tours and posting mad smack talk against modern farming practices on insta, facebook, and nextdoor (especially nextdoor) have yielded great results. I have a current list of 9 or so people interested in farm tours, and I'm certain we will see sales and relationships develop from that
Hahahaha good to know! I'll save my money on the signs and wait for your next marketing post. I'm a computer engineer by trade and love the challenge of building a better mouse trap, but have always struggled selling stuff to strangers. Hoping to develop that skill over the next couple years. Cool idea about the farm tours - hope that proves fruitful for you guys!
Beef is on the way out in terms of us producing it, we just don't have the land to do both dairy and beef. No eggs either right now, but our friends the Hyers will probably have some soon. Hope you two are enjoying your time away!
As soon as the days get longer, the chickens will start producing more eggs and we will have them available. This time next year I hope to have enough chickens to supply customers all year long!
I love your candor and humor, and totally agree as to the value of marketing. Wishing you the best as you and your partners pursue your marketing venture (and Kayla's idea is cute and catchy). I know that everyone who tries your fresh quality products is convinced of the value!
Wooden signs for sure! And yes to the new logos. You know I'll take all the chicken and turkey feet ;) Made a great broth tonight. Cheers!!

I'm in with you, Andrew! We'll buy chicken meats, too, as well as milk and beef when you have it. And eggs? The new logos are beautiful!
Thank you Robyn!

Thanks mom! We believe in it, and we believe people are tired of grocery store prices for subpar products. Local is better everytime.
